Overall:
This is actually a pretty good album. I didn't skip any songs. This is probably his best album up to this point in time There are several great songs on here, and the album is definitely a must-have for the collection.
Lyrics:
Lyrically I was surprised. I didn't know this dude could rap like this. I'm definitely going back and listening to his other stuff again after this, because I kind of feel like I may have been sleeping on this guy. From top to bottom, the lyrics are on point and you could even make the case that Mr. Banks outshines Jadakiss on the song he's featured on.
Production:
You definitely need to be in a New York state of mind to make it through this album, when it comes to the beats. Simple but clean and creative samples loaded into an MPC of sorts, lol (just guessing). I haven't quite figured out what era he went back to for this when it comes to the production, but he is definitely consistent with the sound throughout. The songs all flow well together musically and lyrically.
Conclusion:
This album is an absolutely good listen for rap music enthusiasts and deserves 5 out of 5 stars as it needs to be added to your library.
