Primary Wave is one of the largest independent music publishing, talent management, production and entertainment and branding companies in the United States, founded in 2006.
Under the Primary Wave umbrella, there are two core businesses, Primary Wave Music Publishing, LLC and its’ sister company, Primary Wave Entertainment, LLC. Primary Wave Entertainment is a powerhouse talent management company that provides full access and opportunities for their clients, working closely with them to guide their careers and achieve their goals across the entertainment landscape.
Collectively, the new talent management roster includes: Brandy, CeeLo Green, Melissa Etheridge, Fantasia, Cypress Hill, Chris Robinson (of the Black Crows), Eric Benét, Plain White T’s, Toots and the Maytals, plus music writers/producers Jon Levine, DANJA, Mag and Mitch Allan. The company’s Film/TV production arm was responsible for creating, developing and/or producing a number of critically acclaimed TV shows and films including Kurt Cobain’s “Montage of Heck”, CeeLo Green’s “The Good Life,” and recently “Loudermilk” and “Hit The Road”.
Primary Wave markets their unique roster of talent by using a broad range of multi-media strategies that are both developed and executed by the team of people that make up Primary Wave’s in-house operating divisions: BrightShop Digital Marketing, Brand Synergy Group, publicity, and TV/Film production & development. Each division supports the management and publishing roster, as well as retains third party clients.
Primary Wave Music was founded in 2006 and specializes in the acquisition and unique marketing of iconic and legendary artists and songs. Over the years the company has acquired the copyrights of over 15,000 songs from the catalogs of legendary artists such as Bob Marley, Smokey Robinson, Kurt Cobain, Aerosmith, John Lennon, Def Leppard, Hall & Oates, Chicago, Glenn Gould, Free, Brenda Russell, Tom Cochrane, Holly Knight, Lamont Dozier, Steve Cropper, CeeLo Green, Blue Mountain Music, Count Basie, Tom Hamilton, Sly & The Family Stone, and many others, and we administer and market such icons as Alice Cooper, Bobby Hebb, Counting Crows, Kenny Loggins, Melissa Etheridge, and Jimmy Van Heusen.
