Junior Partner Program
We are now accepting applications to our Junior Partner program. The commission for recruiting new members under a junior partner account has been increased to 10% as of January 1, 2012 for all Junior Partners (this would be about $5 per month for each new "Professional" member reqruited for the life of the membership). This includes both artist and business recruits. We are now offering a 1% commission increase for every 100 members recruited, up to an additional 10% commission (20% total commission).
Partner Resources
Each partner has a unique numeric Partner ID. You should have received your unique Partner ID in your welcome email. For our example, we'll assume that our partner has an ID of 123.
In order for a membership to be registered to that partner, you need to redirect the prospective member to the membership levels list page, having appended the ""affid=123" URL parameter at the end of the URL. For example, the membership level list page's URL is http://the-black-market.com/business-resources.html and your Partner ID is 123 then all visitors must visit the URL http://the-black-market.com/business-resources.html?affid=123 for the membership to be registered to the partner.
The prospective member is free to wander off to other pages of your site freely before registering for an account. The Partner ID is stored in the user's session. As long as he has activated cookies on his browser (it's on by default on all browsers) then the Partner ID will be "remembered" throughout the user's session.
Planning (Step 1)
A career in the music industry should be viewed as a long distance trip. As with any trip you take in life, the most crucial part is the planning process. If you don't lay out the most efficient avenues for you to take, the trip could become a bumpy one. For example, are you looking to get signed to a major record label, or are looking to stay independent for as long as possible? Either way, planning in advance will make the trip much easier.
